7 things to do in A Coruña
Online international magazine TRAVELMAG this month recommends 7 things to do in A Coruña, decribed by writer Andrea Gambaro as one of Spain’s lesser known cities. Some of the highlights to be enjoyed include the Torre de Hércules, the world’s only still-functioning Roman era lighthouse, the much lauded Museo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología and the ‘underrated gem of the city’ the Museo de Belas Artes da Coruña. More importantly for foodies, and particularly for lovers of fine wines there’s A Taste of A Coruña, a four hour culinary tour de force that visits three of the city’s off-the-beaten-track bar-restaurants where the emphasis is on firmly on locally sourced seafood with excellent red and white wines from Galicia’s five wine appellations Rias Baixas, Ribeira Sacra, Ribeiro, Valdeorras and Monterrei.
